Pacific Home uses a process of eco conscious manufacturing for all USA made upholstery.
- Our frame hardwoods are SFI (Sustainable Forest Initiative) Certified, which means reforestation proceeds once harvesting is completed.
- Hardwoods are sourced from domestic manufacturers less than 100 miles away from the manufacturing facilities.
- No rainforest or imported plywood is used in the manufacturing process.
- Frames are cut made using CNC (Computer Numeric Control) routers to optimize yield, thus reducing waste.
- 100% of lumber waste is recycled.
- Wood far exceeds all federal and state ATCM (Air Toxic Control Measure) standards.
- Fiber padding materials are comprised of 100% recycled polyester.
- Wood stains are water-based and unused finished material is collected for recycling.
- Cushions meet all USDA hypo-allergenic product regulations.
- Cushions inner core is made of 20% or more plant based materials and polyol.
- Feathers and down are washed twice, sterilized and steamed at high temperatures to prevent or eliminate bacteria and mold.
- All metal components consist of at least 95% recycled steel or aluminum.
- All products are handmade and handcrafted by the same upholsterer - not assembled on a production line.
- Manufactured to meet California TB117-2013 Fire Safety Standards without the use of flame retardant additives in the upholstery foam.
